We recently had a big ‘get the taste for belgian beer’ event at the volga thanks to my flatmate Sander (he is - surprise - Belgian).
Result: one was ok to drink, two i could stand and about 15 were somewhere between disgusting and ‘oh please, noooo, are you serious?’
My favourite russian beers:
1. sibirskaia korona (zolotaja = golden)
2. baltika 5 (3 and 9 are ok to - 0, 2, 4, 6, 7, and 8 are crap)
3. nemskoe legko
Never:
The local shigulovski (the classic ussr beer) and samara. Ouch!
