• Boulderdash - We never went to Kotton Island (2000) Dull, dull, dull too long (all over 7min) soft breaking electronic tracks you skip because of boredom after 30 seconds. Why do I own this record? 1 star (of 5).
  • Chevron - Everything’s exactly the same (2005) Killer breakcore album on planet mu records. Smart stompers mixed with eclectic computergame melodies. 5 stars.
  • Frivolous - Somewhere in the suburbs (2004) One of the funniest and most entertaining records with a ‘house’ background. 5 stars.
  • Fujiya & Miyagi - Electro karaoke in the negative style (2002) Nice, laid-back indie-electronics. Almost forgot about this worthwhile album. 4 stars.
  • Gustavo - Beidzot (2004) One of the best hiphop albums in 2004 - and it is from Latvia! 5 stars.
  • Jan Jelinek - Loop finding jazz records (2004) Clicks and cuts can be inspiring, but this is just totally boring and dull. 2 stars.
  • Khonnor - Handwriting (2004) Totally depressive indie-electronics with too many effects over the voice of the suicidal singer. Bah! 2 stars.
  • Techno Animal - Brotherhood of the bomb (2001) With this on full blast, I selfconciously cross a ten lane road blindfolded. Megaton! 5 stars.
  • TV on the Radio - Young liars EP (2004) Fantastically soulful and diverse indie-accapella. 5 stars.
  • Xinlisupreme - Tomorrow never comes (2002) An incredible record, somewhere between Merzbow and My Bloody Valentine. After the 12min anthem ‘fatal sisters opened umbrella’ I’m always at peace again with the world, no matter what was before. 6 stars (of 5).

Alexander is in Russia, where the same music plays for now over three weeks on his mp3 player because his computer broke down. And no, the mp3 player is not an ipod anymore!
